Apple Music Classical launches in Taiwan with over 5M tracks
Apple has launched its dedicated classical music app in Taiwan, called Apple Music Classical, which offers over 5 million songs and compositions. The app includes a spatial audio function for a unique listening experience and provides information such as the work’s name, orchestra, conductor, performers, and recording year. It also offers curated playlists, exclusive recordings, composer biographies, and guides to significant works. This launch is part of Apple’s efforts to expand its streaming service ecosystem, with Apple Music chief Oliver Schusser stating that classical music forms the foundation of all genres. The services department, which includes Apple Music, recorded a revenue surge of 16% year-on-year, reaching an all-time high of US$22.3 billion in the fourth quarter of the fiscal year ending in September 2023.2024/01/24 17:55
